New Merits

Here you may find new merits for the chronicle to give the roleplaying more depth. Some of the merits are spinoffs of the games original merits, and some merits may be obtained free during the chronicle.

Direct Resources (● to ●●●●●)

Effects: Direct resources are a merit giving you one sum of starting money. One dot represents 500₽. Two dots represents 1 000₽. Three dots represents 2 000₽. Four dots represents 10 000₽. Five dots represents 50 000₽. Available at character creation only.

Resources (● to ●●●●●; special)

Effects: This merit replaces the World of darkness Resources merit and function similar. The income you will be granted monthly for one dot is 500 ₽ a month. Two dots represents 1,000 ₽ a month. Three dots represents 2,000 ₽ a month. Four dots represents 10,000 ₽ a month. Five dots represents 50,000 ₽a month and beyond. This merit may be purchase multiply times this symbolizes benefits or more income sources, for example another job.

New rule for Resources
Resources usually give a total asset value.
This value dose not applies to this system except
when you have a furnished home or establishment.

Fortune (●●● to ●●●●●)

Your character is philphy rich and have money to spare and more.

Effects: Fortune allow your character to spend money without restriction on anything. During a limit amount of time. Three dots 10 years of active spending. Four dots 40 years of active spending. Five dots 80 years of active spending.

Optional: Resources and Status

You can combine your Resources Merit with the Status Merit (World of Darkness Rulebook, p. 116). When doing so...

Home (● to ●●●●●; special)

Effects: This merit represents a safehouse, hideout, apartment, house, mansion, or other structures livable or other structures. This new merit is built on the Haven and safehouse merit from Vampire the Requiem and Hunter the Vigil. Dots spent on the Home Merit need to be distributed among these categories depending on what it represents: Size, Furnishing, Garden and Cache. If the merit represents an apartment on the third floor you you’re not able to buy the Garden and not available to buy more in size. But you still are able to buy Furnishing and a limited security. Home Size is perhaps the simplest defining characteristic, governing the amount of raw space the home involves.

x Barely any space; only a pair of characters can fit inside comfortably.
● A small apartment, a suite; 1-2 rooms
●● A large apartment or small home; 3-4 rooms.
●●● A small warehouse, a church or a large home; 5-8 rooms.
●●●● A mansion, a warehouse or a medium-sized office building; 9-15 rooms.
●●●●● A sprawling estate or several floors of a tall building; 16+ rooms.

Home Furnishing defines how well furnished and decorated your home is. For each dot in this merit you have a higher total worth of assets. One dot suggests approximately 1,000 ₽ worth of assets. Two dots suggest approximately 5,000 ₽ worth of ₽. Three dots suggest significant maybe 10,000 ₽ worth of assets. Four dots suggest 500,000 ₽ worth of assets. Five dots suggest 5,000,000 ₽ worth of assets.

Home plot size defines the size of your yard, garden or the ground your home is standing on. The size indicates.

x No outdoor place or just a balcony.
● A small backyard.
●● Large backyard.
●●● A large yard villas usually have this.
●●●● A large land.
●●●●● Large lands, farm land forest or a large goods.

Home garden defines your garden how well your lawn is cared for and how well decorated. The more you have in this merit the better the garden. You may not have this if you lack an outdoor aria. If you have 0 in this merit means that you don’t care for your garden. This merit may lower over time if you don’t care for the garden.

Home Cache is arias were you can store items almost entirely safe. If you store objects in your home without the cache merit means that you have the items in a box under the bed or in any other aria. Each dot allocated to Home Cache translates to one cache. A cache can hold five Size points worth of equipment, so while one might be a weapons locker with two shotguns and a pistol (and a few boxes of ammo for each, which is negligible as far as Size goes), another might hold surveillance equipment (a set of wire taps, binoculars, night-sight goggles and maybe a pistol for good measure). It is possible, too, to combine two or more dots of Cache into one space, for a total Size of 10 or more. Equipment that is stored in a cache, however, is effectively hidden from anything but a devoted (or supernatural) search. Mundane interlopers receive a -5 modifier to any attempt to find a cache. (For more information about the cache looks in the book Hunter the Vigil, p70)

Each aspect of the House Merit has a limit of 5. In other words, Home Size, Home Furniture, Home Garden and Home Cache may not rise above 5 (to a maximum of 20 points spent on this Merit). The combined pool of points is used to determine the cost in experience points for raising the Home Merit during play. You may also obtain dots by active roleplaying. You are also able to have multiple of this merit and each merit represents a new home. This home may also be shared among other players.

Depending on how and where you live you may have a rent and that requires resources to maintain this merit. Different arias have different rents and the Storyteller will inform you about the rent.

Library (● to ●●●●●; special)

Requirements: Home (● to ●●●●●)

This merit grants you a library full of books. When you select this merit you need to select a special focus aria, it could be vampires, werewolves, American history, occult, medicine, or other categories that logically fits in a book. This represents the focused literature of your library. For each dot in this merit, you grant +1 on your research roll when searching for information on your special topic. (A similar merit for this exist in the book Nightly Horrors; Immortal Sinners, p.43)

Security (- to ●●●; special)

Requirements: Home (● to ●●●●●)

This merit grants your home a house alarm. Zero dots represents a simple decoy alarm. One dots represses a simple sounding alarm with a security firm linked to the alarm and or motion detectors linked to a spotlight. Two dots represents a house alarm with a security firm linked to the alarm. Three dots represents a sounding house alarm with CCTV surveillance and a firm connected to the alarm.

Establishment (● to ●●●●●)

Other names: Cooperation, Business, Organisation, Gang or Enterprise.

Effects: This merit represents a business, store hotel, club or other kinds of corporate related buildings. This merit can be sold and to other characters and it can also go bankruptcy. You are able to have 0 in this merit this mean that you have are selling things in your garage or rented a room and are perhaps having a yard sell. (By having 0 in the merit can also means that it is a holding company see below.)

x A small room with barley any room or a garage. With no employees.
● A small store or chamber; 1-2 rooms. A small store or cafe. With 1-3 employees.
●● A large store; 3-4 rooms or large enclosure. Larger store or restaurant. With 3-8 employees.
●●● A warehouse; 5-8 rooms, or large enclosure. A warehouse or a large motel. With 5-12 employees.
●●●● A large house; equivalent of 9-15 rooms. A hotel, shopping mall.
●●●●● Large industry or sky scraper; countless rooms. A large hotel, financial center, chemical industry.

An establishment generates profit for your shareholders and to yourself. Every month you gain profit equal to the establishment dots as following. ● 500 ₽, ●● 1,000 ₽, ●●● 2,000 ₽, ●●●● 10,000 ₽, ●●●●● 50,000 ₽. It is possible for characters to share and have several establishment merits; this represents several Establishments or one large Establishment. When you have several Establishments you gain the profit value for each establishment.

If you want to sell an establishment one dot suggests approximately 1,000 ₽ worth of assets. Two dots suggest approximately 5,000 ₽ worth of assets. Three dots suggest significant maybe 10,000 ₽ worth of assets. Four dots suggest 500,000 ₽ worth of assets. Five dots suggest 5,000,000 ₽ worth of assets.

Establishment and shareholders: Sometimes a company is owned by multiply characters or you just whant shares in a company. In order to own shares and make it possible for other to gain share you most first declare it possible when you buy the merit. You then state on how much you want you to own and how much other people may obtain.

A character with a share of 45% or more gain the merits profit value as income.
A character with a share of more then 35% gain the merit profit value of the dots -1.
A character with a share of more then 25% gain the merit profit value of the dots -2.
A character with a share of more then 15% gain the merit profit value of the dots -3.
A character with a share of more then 10% gain the merit profit value of the dots -4.
A character with a share of 9% or less gain a D10*10p income a month (10 again is applied.).

To get a share while playing you pay the merits dot asset value times the proponent you want to buy. (A holding company is always classified as a 5dot merit in this case.) A share of a company is not represented by the Establishment merit and to some extent separate the merit from the character that owned it.

Establishments and holding companies: It is possible to handle a Establishment as a holding company. By doing so you will have the establishment merit level of 0 (Optional; ● to ●●●●● If you have separate office) and multiply of the Establishment merit. This represents the owned property. (It is possible for other characters to own a merit that belong to another characters holding company.)

Multiply Establishment merits: When you have multiply establishments you gain the combined profit as income. This also applies to the Shareholder and holding companies.

Non-profit Organization: It is possible to have the establishment as a Non-profit Organization. The merit will then not generate any income but will have the asset value. The level of the merit will then represents the size of the organisation. It is possible for a character to take out a salary in the form of the resources merit from a Non-profit Organization.

Mega corporations, multinational, large corporations or governments: If you want to visualize a Mega corporations, multinational, large corporations or a government the merit dots will be replaced with a ∞. representing the large monetary resources available. (Banks is a example of a large corporation using the ∞ definition. It is of cause possible to handle a bank as holding companies with Multiply Establishment merits.) The monthly income from this kind of merit is on the normal merit level 5. In the case you have shareholders the merit is also counted as a merit 5. Note: This also goes for criminal organisation. This special rule of this merit can't be bought at character creation or mid game this needs to be given by the gamemaster.

Establishment as a criminal organisation: It is possible to handle the Establishment merit as a criminal organization, gang or other kind of syndicate.

New Systems

Sleep and Rest

A mortal with 2 stamina requires a uninterrupted 7,5h (8h for 1 dot of stamina and with each dot in stamina lowering this requirement by 0,5 hours.) sleep each night to regain lost Willpower points. If the character do not sleep the required hours, she will not regain any lost Willpower point. If a person misses out of sleep continuously for days, she will lose focus and get tired this results in a -1 modifier for all mental rolls. The character will lose one Willpower point if the character does not sleep more then 4 hours (-1 hour per stamina, to a minimum of 30 minutes) for three days with a increase penalty of 1 to all mental related rolls (with a maximum of -5) each day the character misses out sleep. For every day after that point the character will lose an additional Willpower point. This willpower is recovered normally.

A character can force herself to stay awake for a maximum of 8 days. If a character is awake for more then 8 days, that character will start receiving 1 point of lethal damage per day after the 7 day (in addition to the Willpower lose). This damage is not recovered until you are able to sleep for a full nights rest. When the character forces herself to stay awake, she can only hold out for 4 hours before her body complains. For each hour after the fourth, she needs to make a Stamina + Resolve roll to stay awake. If the character manages to stay awake for more than 2 days, the character needs to make that roll every turn to avoid falling asleep.

Adress & GPS

The Address is used to find and identified grids on the city map. The Address system work like this:

[City Name]: [District Name] [Block]:[Street] "[House/Building/Name of Establishment]"

The GPS system is a more detailed system pin point a address. The GPS system is first of used in forest areas of the city map and using the grid system in Excel.
